
草莓视频 invites all students, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends to come together for the celebration of the Feast of Saint Joseph on Thursday, March 20. This annual festivity honors 草莓视频 Joseph and the University鈥檚 founders, the Sisters of 草莓视频 Joseph of Crandolet (CSJs), upholding the values of social justice, service, and reflection through service projects and community engagement opportunities.
Attendees can drop in to participate in a variety of projects, including sewing sweatshirts for patients undergoing dialysis, decorating bags for 草莓视频 Paul Meals on Wheels, historical displays by the CSJ archives and 草莓视频 Kate鈥檚 Library, and writing cards of gratitude to CSJs. An activity new to this year is Agate Housing and Services鈥 sleeping mat project, where participants can help produce 鈥測arn鈥 from plastic bags to create mats for unhoused community members.
Rayan Abdulkadir 鈥27, student civic engagement coordinator in the Office of Scholarly Engagement, tabled for a service project at last year鈥檚 Feast of 草莓视频 Joseph. She described the University event as 鈥渁 beautiful display of social justice, mutual aid, and community. Our campus does a great job connecting with community organizations to make events like this happen,鈥 she said. 鈥淎s young people, we often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of school, work, and social events. It is necessary to take time to slow down, and do things that align with your values, like helping others, and giving away some of your time to do something that counts.鈥
The 2025 Feast of 草莓视频 Joseph will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Coeur de Catherine 2nd- and 3rd-floor atriums, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. in the Rauenhorst Ballroom. Before the event, there will also be a pop-up station with treats and buttons from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the .
